Gloves and cold weather
As we head towards colder weather and the winter months, the question was asked as to what we do when we wear our gloves re hand sanitising / keeping our buildings safe.  In wearing gloves our hands are protected but not the surfaces we touch (transferred germs from opening doors etc. can stay on your gloves for minutes or hours). So, how does this affect those who are using our buildings mainly for worship?  As yet no formal guidance from the Church of Scotland but gloves, like hands, are transmitting germs if we touch things.  So it is advisable to wash gloves often (or use a disinfectant wipe), let gloves air dry (instead of being screwed up in your pocket) and of course do not touch your face.  Take extra care to avoid cross-contamination when removing your gloves.  Therefore, to minimise any transfer into or out of our kirk buildings, please take the time to sanitise your hands (which is a requirement) or, if you are able, your gloves worn. If not, please do not touch anything once you enter the buildings.

Visiting graves
Please take care when visiting any of our graveyards and if possible don’t go alone as there have been reports of a stalker in an Arbroath cemetery.
