Arranging a Funeral
Our Minister is available to officiate at the funeral of anyone within our parishes. Our three churches are always available, but a funeral service can also be at a crematorium or at the premises of a Funeral Director.
Normally the first point of contact following a death is the Funeral Director who will then contact the Parish Minister to arrange a date and time for the funeral. This will depend on any prior diary commitments. Thereafter, the minister will arrange to visit in order to help make the funeral as personal as possible.
Please note that, while Civil Celebrants may charge for their services, there is never any charge for the services of a Church of Scotland Minister. However, donations to the church are always welcome.
